The Adnaco-S5 Gen2 20GT/s PCIe Expansion System allows system integrators to operate one PCIe x1, x4, x8 and x16 Gen1/Gen2 add-in card over fiber optic cable at distances up to 500+ meters from the location of the computer system. No additional host software drivers are required during installation or operation. Any type of PCI Express cards can be used including audio, video, graphics, USB, FireWire, SATA, data-acquisition, network and others. The system consists of two Adnaco-H2 PCIe host/remote adapters, a x1, x2 and x4 fiber optic cable and Adnaco-RT4 PCIe x16 backplane.
